• Pray for Bishop Michael, Bishop of Winchester, as he appoints Suffragan Bishops to Southampton and Basingstoke, and as he copes with an increased workload in the meantime.
  
  
• Pray for Gary, on retreat, at the beginning of the month, and for all those who have leadership roles in the Parish and Deanery.
  
  
• Pray for the Diocese, for a generous response to financial appeals, and for all those who have to make hard decisions about the Diocesan finances.
  
  
• Pray for all those who suffer from the cold at this time of the year, and especially those in fuel poverty, or in unsatisfactory accommodation.
  
  
• Pray for the people of Haiti in their continuing suffering.
  
  

Prayer of the Month

May none of God’s wonderful works keep silence, night or morning.
Bright stars, high mountains, the depths of the seas, sources of rushing rivers;
May all these break into song as we sing to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
May all the angels in the heavens reply: Amen! Amen! Amen!
Power, praise, honour, eternal glory be to God, the only Giver of grace. Amen! Amen! Amen!

Almighty God,
by the prayer and discipline of Lent
may we enter into the mystery of Christ’s sufferings,
and by following in his Way
come to share in his glory;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
