• Pray for all the events and activities for children this month, including Dip Week on Daisy Dip (10th-14th), and all the young people from Operation Mobilisation who will be staying in the Parish Hall; and the Playscheme in the Parish Hall in the middle of the moth; and the activities for children and families in the Community Room at St Alban’s at the end of the month.
  
  
• Pray for all those on holiday this month, that they may return refreshed and renewed.
  
  
• Pray for all those who need a holiday, but whose circumstances do not permit one. Remember all of those caring for relatives at home.
  
  
• Pray on the Feast of the Transfiguration (Aug 6th) that we may all be transformed by our life in Christ, so that we may all be light to the world.
  
  
• And on Hiroshima Day (Aug 6th) pray for peace throughout the world.
  
  
• Pray for those with cancer, and those caring for them.

Keep me, O Lord,

while I tarry on this earth,

in a daily serious seeking after thee

and in a believing affectionate walking with thee;

that when thou comest,

I may be found not hiding my talent,

not yet asleep with my lamp unfurnished;

but waiting and longing for my Lord,

my glorious God,

for ever and ever.
