- As we move into the New Year, pray for all those who will make New Year’s Resolutions, that they may be able to keep them past January 2nd!
- Pray for all those who are cold, sleeping on the streets, in poor housing or unhappy situations during this cold weather.
- Pray for the Unity of the Church of Christ, as Unity Week approaches (Jan 18th-25th), for the Covenant of Churches and our Unity Week Service on Jan 25th, and for other Christians meeting, worshipping and working in this area.
- Pray for the continuing progress of the St Alban’s Appeal, and for all the work still ahead of us before the completion of the Project.
- Pray for all those suffering from any kind of disability, and from the prejudice they experience.
PRAYERS OF THE MONTH
Today I rise invoking God
the Trinity to aid me
confessing the strong unity
of God whose power has made me.
Today I rise and call on Christ
his birth, his life his dying,
his rising to the side of God;
on his just dooms relying.
Today I take Christ as my shield
against all that would wound me.
Christ with me, at my right and left,
above, beneath, around me.
And so I rise invoking God
the Trinity to aid me
confessing the strong unity
of God whose love has saved me.
