• Pray for the continuing development of the St Alban's Project, and for all those involved in working with the builders, architects and so on.

• Pray for those being ordained Deacon and Priest at this time.

• Pray for all those being married in the coming months, and especially for Vicky and Robin as they prepare for their wedding next month.

• Pray for the Fete on July 9th, and for all those involved in planning it and helping with it.

• On Sea Sunday, pray for all those whose lives take them to sea, for their families, and for all those responsible for their safety and well-being.

• Pray for our schools, Bassett Green, Swaythling, Mansbridge and Cantell, as they come to the end of the summer term, and as they all face changes of headteachers in the coming months.

• Pray for all who are lonely.

PRAYERS OF THE MONTH

A Prayer for Sea Sunday:

Creator and Father of all, we pray for those who go down to the sea in ships and on whom we depend. Bless them and those who long for their safe return and bring us all to your Kingdom where there is no sorrow, no tears, but joy and life everlasting, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Mothers’ Union Prayer for family life:

Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, who gave marriage to be a source of blessing, we thank you for family life, with all its joys and sorrows.

May we know your presence and peace in our homes, fill them with your love and use them to your glory. Bless all who are married and every parent and child. Pour out upon us your Holy Spirit, that we may truly love and serve you.

Bless the members of the Mothers Union throughout the world, unite us in prayer and worship, in love and service that, strengthened by your grace, we may seek to do your will; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. AMEN.
