Members of the Baptist Church are planning to go to Prom Praise again this year.
Prom Praise is like ‘Songs of Praise meets Last night of the Proms‘.
Have a look at :
www.allsoulsorchestra.org/index.php?mod_id=5&id=13&action=show
for more details.
It’s an evening with a massed choir and All Souls’ Orchestra, and includes Christian and classical music, an interval (ice cream - yum) and a talk from Hugh Palmer (Rector of All Souls’ Church).
Last year we learnt a couple of new songs – one of which had been written especially for that evening.
There will be a coach (if enough people want to go), which will drop us right outside the Albert Hall and pick us up again afterwards.
There are 3 free museums (Victoria and Albert, Natural History and Science Museum) nearby and Hyde Park is opposite.
We would like to leave about 10am so there would be a decent amount of time to use to visit the museum(s), or go off further afield if you want. The actual event itself starts at 7:30pm and finishes at 10pm. We would probably arrive home in Southampton at midnight.
Tickets range from £5 if you would like to stand in the arena to £29 in the boxes. (Last year we were in the circle near the very top, £15.)
Although we can’t give an overall price at this moment, last year the ticket together with the coach was about £30.
