If all has gone to plan, work should have begun on replacing the Community Room roof at St Alban’s on February 18th, lasting about 2 weeks.
The flat roof was put in in 1980, and has lasted quite well - but is now in severe need of replacement. We have had a grant of £5,000 from the Veolia Environmental Trust, and the rest of the money will come from other donations and our small reserves.
After the roof is done, there will need to be some re-decoration - and then all the major St Alban’s work will be done.
Yippee!
And then on to St Mary’s … See separate article.
