Used Stamps

For Many years Alec Poore, husband of Marjorie from St Alban’s, has been collecting used stamps and selling them in aid of Church funds. We are very grateful to Alec for all he has done over the years.

Now he would like to retire, and we wonder whether anyone else might like to take on this fairly simple job. Alec will give instructions to his successor, but basically he collects the stamps from various sources, including people at Church bringing them in and, every few months, when he has (I think it is) 10lb in weight, he takes them to Bitterne, where they are assessed, and he is given the value of the stamps.
