Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

Each year, from January 18th to the Feast of St Paul on January 25th, we celebrate the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. As usual, there will be a pulpit swap on the Sunday of that week, January 21st, as all the Ministers of the Covenant Churches visit another congregation.

This year we are looking forward to welcoming Malcolm Harper, Reader in North Stoneham and Bassett Parish to St Alban’s, and Revd Peter McNeill, Minister of Swaythling Baptist Church, and Free Church Chaplain of Southampton University, to St Mary’s.

Gary will be at St Michael’s, Bassett, Kate at The Immaculate Conception, and Nigel Harley at All Saints’, Winchester Road.

On that evening, January 21st, at 6.30p.m., at St Mary’s, there will be the covenant United Service for Unity Week. Please try to come if you can, especially as we are hosting the service this year (No Evensong at St Alban’s that evening).
