St Mary’s, June 8th, 3.00p.m.
We often forget how important pets are to people - perhaps especially to the British. From our early attempts at keeping rabbits and goldfish, to the dogs and cats which become important parts of our family life for many years, to more exotic pets such as rats and snakes, we learn a lot about loving, caring and companionship from our pets.
As a way of recognising this, and of giving thanks for all the wonders of God’s creation, there will be a Pets’ Service at St Mary’s on Sunday, June 8th at 3.00p.m.
This will be a fairly short service, and you are invited to bring your pet along (but do feel free to come without a pet as well). We shall give thanks for pets, and ask for God’s blessing on them. All welcome - let your friends know. |
