A large amount of food was taken to Basics Bank after the Harvest Services at St Mary’s and St Alban’s - thank you everyone who contributed.
This letter came from Basics Bank:
Dear Swaythling Parish:
We do appreciate the food received today for Harvest. Autumn and Harvest celebrations are our opportunity to stock up on those items of tinned and dried food that we are often short of. With your help our replenished stocks will keep us going to spring next year.
During the year ending March 2007, we were able to provide 5761 individuals with food to last them up to five days.
Please pass on our grateful thanks to all your contacts who have helped us to ensure that those who are in need of food do not go without.
Yours sincerely
